Project Phoenix

HOW IT STARTED

How do we think about work after experiencing a pandemic? What values have we recalibrated, and what fresh ideas will rise up from the ashes of this historically significant time in design?

We’ve been busy examining these questions, and we’re working through the  process of improving workplace design. Our team is energized by having an active part in shaping the future office.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Phoenix Project was developed over the past year as four conceptual workplaces that boldly illustrate our plans for wellness, equality, flexibility, and innovation. Our entire studio contributed to Phoenix using research, planning strategies, and physical and mental wellness lessons learned in 2020 and 2021.

THE IMPACT

Our goal with Phoenix is to provide inspiration for our clients on how they can translate their company goals into a future workplace. This multi-part charrette (a term meaning a collaborative solution to a design problem) is also provoking creativity by encouraging us to think outside of the box as we take on these unique challenges as a team. It brings us back to the openness of our university days in design studios when anything was possible without the restrictions of budgets and schedules.
