Mel is an interior designer with more than 21 years of experience in the Chicago market and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Nebraska. She specializes in the delivery of creative solutions, nurturing client relationships, and leading collaborative teams through the full design process. Her experience spans corporate offices, branding and repositioning projects of all scales.
Mel leads a team of designers at geniant, and holds a leadership role focused on the future of the practice. She is a part of geniant’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, and has participated in panel discussions about being a working parent and LGBTQ+ inclusion in the A&D community. She also serves on the advisory board of Insightful Chicago, an organization which was created to be the voice of diversity and inclusion within the corporate real estate industry.
