EASTLAKE STUDIO - 333 N Michigan - 6,500 square feet
This is not the biggest project of the year, but in many ways it’s the most important to us. In 2018, we put the finishing touches on our new studio, photographed the space, hosted 5,000 architecture-loving guests during Open House Chicago and held many parties on the rooftop deck.
CHICAGO TRIBUNE - One Prudential Plaza - 150,000 square feet
The Tribune’s publishing chops go back more than 170 years, and we knew they needed a bold marker for the new phase of their history. The monumental stair gives that gravitas to the workplace with slick modernity and collaborative warmth. It’s just one of the design elements that makes this a special space in the city, and a landmark project in scope and significance for Eastlake Studio.
EXECUTIVE SUITE - One Prudential Plaza - 8,000 square feet
We transformed the former Top of the Rock restaurant and observation deck into a sophisticated executive suite. The massive light fixture, which hangs above a 26-person board room table, is visible from Millennium Park.
ORIGAMI RISK EXPANSION- 222 N LaSalle - 25,000 square feet
We first designed Origami’s headquarters in 2016, creating a canopy of 3-d printed cranes as a centerpiece. We brought those over to their new, larger space, which features a two-story town hall and a deeper palette.
KIMBERLY CLARK EXPANSION - Civic Opera Building - 15,000 square feet
We gave Kimberly Clark more brand identity and an expanded workplace, as well as renovating the bathrooms (check out that photo mural!) and adding a stair. The result is a cohesive two-floor, balanced suite with the company’s history written all over the walls.
CHICAGO WHITE SOX - Visitors’ Clubhouse - 4,000 square feet
Our first MLB design project, but not our last! We created a neutral locker room, lounge, service kitchen and training room for away teams visiting the White Sox’s Guaranteed Rate Field. It’s almost too nice for the competition.
